Dyscalculia International Consortium: Goals

 To undertake global research to determine the extent of the presence of Dyscalculia on populations of children and adults in each socio-economic class and age group, and to determine the causes and impact of this condition on the lives of individuals and on societies.

 To publish these research findings on the Dyscalculia International Consortium's internet web site.

 To serve as a networking hub, or clearinghouse, for entities, individuals, schools, business, and organizations that have a bearing on or interest in math learning and research.

 To establish, publish, and maintain - on the Dyscalculia International Consortium's internet web site - an index of relevant laws, resources, events, experts, individuals, organizations, programs, articles, materials, and research concerned with Dyscalculia.

 To research effective teaching methods and materials, and learning and coping strategies for individuals with Dyscalculia.

 To formalize and publicize effective teaching methods and materials, and learning and coping strategies for individuals with Dyscalculia.

7.   To develop computer software, proven successful in scientific trials, that teaches all levels of mathematics to individuals with Dyscalculia.

8.   To make this computer software available as freeware or shareware and downloadable from the Dyscalculia International Consortium web site.

9.   To use the Dyscalculia International Consortium web site and internet techology as the primary means of conducting DIC business, communication, and organizational goal achievement.
